Batu Bolong is best for singles and younger expats who want cafés, surfing and nightlife close by. Berawa feels slightly more polished and is especially popular with couples and families. Echo Beach attracts surfers and couples, while Padonan and northern Canggu offer quieter surroundings and generally more space.
Families often favor Berawa because Canggu Community School is located in the area and provides international education from Early Years through Year 13.
